These 5 Habits Will Change You Life in 2022

New year, new habits

Changing your life does not have to involve a complete change of style or self. Simple habits can make a very strong impact on your daily life which will in-turn help you focus on the things that really matter.

Marie Kondo’s method of organization places emphasis on simplifying your home so that pockets of joy can be found in a decluttered life. Adding in even just one of these five habits will really help to change your life in 2022:

1. Organizing daily

Organizing and decluttering in larger segments can be super helpful in quickly seeing results in the home. However, if your goal is to live a decluttered life this year, you need to commit to more than a weekend project.

Spending some time daily to organize your space will transform the way you view your home life.

Taking that extra ten minutes a day to make sure that everything goes back to its home base will clear up time and energy to be focused into joy.

2. Write a to-do list

Whether you write a to-do list for your day, your week, or your month, having items to cross off will help you feel accomplished.

Often times tasks can fall through the cracks, or we just forget to acknowledge how much we are actually do in a days’ time.

Taking a moment to cross things off a physical list will allow you a moment to appreciate the work you have done.

3. Schedule the fun

This may seem like a silly habit to get into but when life kicks in its really important to schedule in some fun.

Whether this is a hobby like cooking, reading, exercise, knitting, dancing or anything in between, making space for yourself to blow off some steam is important.

4. Craft the perfect routine

This habit is going to require some reflection on your own life. Try to pinpoint your goals for 2022.

Do you want to exercise more style?

Are you focused on health or fitness goals?

Do you want to read more?

Do you want to be more organized?

Whatever your goals are for the year try to craft a daily routine that builds in these goals. For example, if you want to work on your personal style, try setting your alarm a half an hour early to play in your closet. Or build in some time at the end of the day to lay out an outfit for work.

5. Notice what you buy

Decluttering is only one step in crafting a life that is streamlined for joy.

Noticing what you are bringing into your home every week from groceries to online shopping is crucial for behavior change.

Once we notice our habits it will be easier to change them.
