Must Have Apps for Productivity & Self Improvement

Use your phone for good

Most of the time our iPhones can distract us from productivity goals. Social media and constant availability to everyone in our contact list pulls us away from tasks at hand. In todays overly connected world our phones are almost always right in our pockets.

Most of the time to combat this technology overload I would suggest putting your phone away. However, productivity apps are another great way to refocus your time. It’s hard to relabel your phone as a tool rather than a distraction, but these six productivity apps will streamline your work and self-improvement goals.

Todoist

Todoist is an app to help you digitally track your to-do list. The app is user friendly and allows you to make as many tasks as you would like. You can add things to your list as they come up and the app will remind you to complete each task.

One of the best features is being able to add a due date for the task and assign any details for the action item so you don’t forget anything. You can also label and arrange tasks based on their level of priority. Next time you are in line for coffee arrange your to-do list instead of scrolling Instagram!

Calendar App

Let’s keep this one simple. The calendar app built into your iPhone is a perfectly sufficient app. You can add events and upcoming appointments. If you link the app to your email account the events can be automatically added to your calendar.

Also sharing dates with your family or roommates is a great way to keep track of what’s going on in your home.

Toss

This app is truly amazing. Its technology is simple. Everyday it reminds you to complete a decluttering task (something we love at Avance 😊 ) . The app will send you a reminder each day to declutter a very small and specific area of you home.

If you are forgetful and have trouble setting aside large amounts of time to declutter this app is perfect for you. You can skip a day or complete the task and check it off your list. This is a super simple way to stay on top of tossing out unwanted clutter.

Clock App

Another super simple app already built in your phone is the clock app. You can set alarms and timers to keep you focused. The stopwatch feature is great for exercising or keeping track of how long you spend on an activity.

Habit Tracker

Creating habits takes time. We have many articles about the long process it takes to establish healthy habits. The app Habit Tracker is just another helpful tool that you can install on your phone.

You can simply track the good habits you want to instill and have your phone remind you daily to follow your progress. It can be anything from eating habits to learning a new language!

Its entirely customizable to your goals and offers a platform to actively pursue your personal goals.

Productivity can be a beast. Allowing yourself time to focus on your projects is important for personal growth. Giving these apps a try could be the helpful push you need to get started!
