Our Gift Guide to Sparking Joy this Holiday Season
not just stuff…joy!
Sparking joy is the ultimate goal of gift giving in the holiday season. Seeing the joy on someone’s face when they see the care and thought you put into it is an incredibly special moment in any relationship. However, it can be difficult to sift through the holidays sales and promotions to find that one thing that will really add to another person’s life.
We like to talk about clutter on this blog and oftentimes gifts are a sore spot in decluttering. It may seem cynical but practice gift giving in a way that reaches for the gift to not become clutter in a years’ time. That extra mile of thought will make any present more meaningful. Here are 18 gift ideas that are sure to spark joy this season:
Something to be used
A Book: Whether it’s a coffee table book, fiction novel, autobiography… you can never go wrong with a book. If they want to declutter it after a year, there are many simple ways to do so and if they read it they already got a lot of use out of your gift!
A Candle: A nice new candle is a great gift that can be used up and decluttered. The receiver of the gift will get excellent use out of the object, and it won’t stick around forever anyways.
